EZR Logistics is currently looking for an IT Manager to join our team.  This is a management-level position responsible for analyzing and directing all IT related activities of the organization with supervisory responsibilities for 3rd-party Professional Service Organizations (PSO’s) and any future staff reporting to the IT department. This position is accountable for managing & deploying the IT strategy of the organization including technical leadership, project management, and network & infrastructure support. This is a working IT role that requires project leadership capabilities as well as a willingness to roll up sleeves and work with users pre- and post-implementation.


  • Translate business needs into business process and technology requirements
  • Support the development life-cycle and work with team members and the clients, using project management tools
  • Participate in the definition and modeling of business process and workflow, interacting with technical and non-technical staff to articulate technical concepts
  • Extract, analyze, specify and validate business requirements and prepare detailed specifications, project plans, business case and implementation plans
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
  • Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in technology and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data processing while striving for enhanced user productivity through implementation of new software technology where applicable, and the implementation of policies that more effectively utilize IT resources
  • Manage and report on allocation of IT budget
  • Manage information technology and computer systems. Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations in conjunction with PSO


  • Perform all supervisory responsibilities associated with the IT department including employee & service provider related issues
  • Enforce company IT policies and procedures as a member of management for all employees
  • Determine the goals of IT within broad outlines provided by the executive management
  • Lead software development and implementation for Reverse Logistics business
  • Prepare long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them
  • Assure responsiveness of long-range plans to corporate objectives 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers
  • Act as Technology liaison with business units, developers and quality assurance testers in support of application project development and enhancement efforts
  • Development of Business Requirements and Software Requirements Specifications
  • Development of Test Cases and Test Scripts
  • Develop instructional documentation and provide training for internal users
  • Provide unit testing and quality assurance support for projects to ensure that the planned solution meets business needs and quality expectations
  • Provide business knowledge to technical staff & 3rd parties
  • Provide an understanding of technology potential to business users
  • Ensure that Technology projects are aligned with business objectives and strategies
  • Evaluate use of implemented solutions to aid in determining project success and to identify opportunities for enhancements
  • Ensure the continuity of computer services by providing necessary technical leadership and project coordination with Professional Service Organization (CalNet)
  • Maintain organization's technology infrastructure with the support of 3rd party PSO (Phone System, Email, File, Print, Network, Communications)
  • Manage & report on the IT Budget including forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to MIS operations


  • Experience with Order to Cash, Logistics, or Warehouse Systems
  • Excellent Project Management Skills
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle & modeling tools
  • Ability to produce Flowcharts, Diagrams, & Use-cases
  • Experience in business process analysis & strategic planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organization skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Must be able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Should demonstrate a desire to learn & expand skill set
  • Should be able to work in dynamic, non-highly structured environment
  • Must exhibit ethical conduct and behavior


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related with 5-7 years of experience working with industry specific software applications.
